(posted 10/9/08) We are excited to report that our Production crew has already crushed over 20 varietals (some of which come from more than one vineyard) and still have about a dozen more to go! Our winery building is rich with the fregrant scent of freshly-pressed grapes, and it's been quite remarkable to see the process along. We have some wonderful and tough hands working alongside our Winemaker, Brent Amos, including Meredith Miles and Tony Blackburn who have all been tirelessly working to produce Fenestra's infamous flavorful and unique wines!
This year's 2008 harvest includes: Verdelho (Lodi), Sauvignon Blanc (Livermore), Grenache (Lodi), Chardonnay (Livermore), Malbec (Lodi), Torrontes (Lodi), Pinot Noir (Livermore), Viognier (Contra Costa County), 3 Cabernet Francs (Lodi and 2 from Livermore), Merlot (Livermore), Carignane (Lodi), Estate Syrah (Livermore, pictured above), Zinfandel (Livermore), 3 Tempranillos (Lodi, Clement Hills and Livermore), our first Petite Verdot (Livermore), Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca (Lodi), Alvarelhao (Lodi), our first Graciano (Clement Hills), 3 Cabernet Sauvignons (Livermore: Thatcher Bay, Walker and Kalthoff Vyds), Souzao (Lodi), Mourvedre (Lodi), Tinto Cao (Lodi), Semillon (Livermore), and Petite Sirah (Livermore). WHEW!
